    This course has been designed for senior managers whose role includes the interpretation of financial information for strategic decision making

  • Intermediate – for those who are moving into roles requiring them to deal with finance on a day to day basis

    This course has been designed for operational and departmental managers who are now required to interpret the monthly performance report and develop operational action plans to meet business objectives.

    • Definition of financial terms and terminology from the business profit and loss account – weekly business done, monthly reports
    • Business controls to mange revenue and cost
    • How to trade & make a profit
    • Compute business calculations relevant to role with accuracy and confidence and gain insight on interpretation
    • Business environment – key measures and impact on the trading environment
    • Introduction to the importance of budgeting and forecasting
    • Brief overview of the difference between CAPEX and operational spend

  • This introductory course is for absolute beginners - that is those with no prior experience of finance and accounts. The course includes:

    · Introductory numeracy skills including decimals, percentages and ratios

    · Definition of financial terms and terminology

    · The basics of how to trade & make a profit

    · Business environment – key measures in the economy – what do they mean and what is the significance?
